As a publisher, it’s important to have a newsletter to drive your visitors back to your website.
However, you need the ability to target your readers in a nice way. You have two types of readers: free and paid. If you have a one-size-fits-all newsletter, you don’t have the ability to message in a really targeted way which hurts your ability to convert paid subscribers.
What we suggest is that you split your newsletter and create a premium newsletter for your paid subscribers. This way, you can speak more clearly to your free and casual readers, while also providing a package of helpful information to your paid subscribers. With the advent of Substack and others, the paid newsletter world is really exploding and creators are seeing that readers are willing to pay just for a paid newsletter.
